i decided to start working on the Z again. Here are some parts i prepped for primer and paint... FYI, when i paint something, it's either perfect or it gets redone. The process is primer, sand with 600, 4 coats paint, sand with 600 followed by 3 coats paint then 3 coats of clear. I'm going to the parts within the next day or two... expect pics when done... Louvered panel... the yellow spots are imperfections like pin holes, uneven surfaces etc... The panel is now absolutely straight. I just have to sand the spot putty, prime it, sand it again with 600 and on goes the paint and clear...

Now my Mirrors. Normally when they paint mirrors they mask the mirror and paint. I find what i've done gives me a better finish... and if you look closer, you'll see i've rubbed out that info crap the mirrors have molded in... again, perfect is the only option.

...Sometime this weekend i'm going to finish up the mirror mounts in the classic 2 tone black-red finish. I had them red-red and they didn't look right...
